Would it be better to have my neon in with two emperior tetras and a rainbow tetra or a betta and two mollies
The neon was being very picked on in the tetra tank and his fins are all ripped and he looks bad
Hmm...probably the molly and the betta...

Is there anyway to heal his wounds
If he isn't picked on continually, he'll heal up on his own. However, he needs to be healthy enough otherwise and have good water parametres.
Salt is often helpful as well...helps prevent secondary fungus and bacterial infections...

Rue do you think the neon is better off with the betta and the mollies? I don't think the betta can move fast enough but I know the emperiors pick on him enough until he hids from them
He has lasted a while

Mollies and the betta are a better bet. Aquarium salt and stress coat is the best thing to use.
Just our of curiosity, how big are your tanks? Neons (and other tetras) do much better in schools (say at least 6). Personally, if you feel that he is being picked on by the other tetras, try putting him in the other tank and see what happens.

Yup, and ditto on the school size, neons are schooling fish.

He was with 2 other neons but they died

Tank size? He needs atleast 4 to be happy, preferably 6 or more.

The neons were all in a 10 gallon, They died when we made a mistake and put a cichlid in there, the cichlid was not doing well in it's other tank and we thought it was going to die but instead it perked right up and killed off my fish...
Anyway it was an accident so then I bought two emperiors and they pick on the only neon left

I will if I can put them in the 5 gal with the betta and the mollies...

Mollies need like a 10g at least, most say a 30g. Only thing I can think of is get ride of the emperors and place a school of neons in there or move the mollies to the 10g and put 5 neons in the 5g with the betta which is still to much.

Are the mollies o.k. with the emperiors?

Is the betta o.k. with 4 neons?
Also I would prefer to know they will be o.k.
Emperiors can terrorize

If they are that bad then I would really look into returning them to the LFS.

They are fine with my rainbow tetra
Just not sure how they'd be with mollies

Maybe tomorrow when I can watch them closer
The betta and the neons should be fine...

Should I elevate the temps for the injured neon and what temp? Keep in mind I have mollies and a betta in the tank
Which a bit of falt hurt the other neons?

about 77 F is ideal for them I think.

Should it be higher for injured fish?
Will salt hurt the neons that are o.,k.?

Use half dose on the aquarium salt. I wouldn't raise it over there comfort level.
