I posted a while ago (maybe 2 weeks) about how long it would take to see the nitrites drop since I was getting a low nitrate reading. WELL :) this morning when I tested the water the nitrites are at 0!!!! Nitrates are low though, about 5 ppm. I think it's because I've been doing a 50% water change everyday, for the past 3 days, while treating for ick (I think? only one sword, with one little white spot).

I can't wait to add the pleco to his new home! (but I will, just a little longer, until the swordtails spot goes away)

Thanks!

After adding the pleco and giving the tank time to adapt to his massive amount of waste, I want to get some corys. Thinking about 3 or 4.

That would be:
3 bala sharks (soon to get a new home, either giving them away, or trying to get a MUCH larger tank)
3 swordtails
1 common pleco
4 corys

... what do you think about loaches with that group? Too many bottom-dwellers?

I have some clowns in mine - they don't have any problems with the pleco or the cories
