Remember a while back I started a ceramic cave, well its finally been fired and here it is in place.

Thanks, thats why I chose the white clay, so it fitted in with the gravel and riverstones.

For anyone with access to a kiln, it was very simple, I just crumpled up newspaper and taped it together with masking tape to make the basic shape, I then used a rolling pin to roll out the clay to a sheet about 5mm thick, I layed this over the crumpled newspaper and cut out the entrance, let it dry for about a week, then had it fired in a kiln.

Cool idea to use ole nwespaper to give it its special form.

I like it a lot, nice natural look to it. Custom pieces are very cool, no one else has one like it!
