:help: ammonia 0-.25 ,nitRATE 0-<5.0 , nitRITE 0-0.25 , PH 6.4-6.6 ,Those are the readings of the water in thier 75gal. home 3 days after changing 20 gallons of water. I use the API freshwater test kit . The tap water last year tested ph of nearly 7.6 nowadays it reads between 6 - 6.4 and the others read off the chart . I always use conditioner when I do a water change. I use to use Jungle Start right , but LFS was out off smaller bottle and$$ was low so I got Prime instead. The bottle reads that it doesn't "IMPACT" Ph. I'm ASSUMING that means it won't change the Ph. from tap to tank .The tank has been running for nearly 4yrs. and the JD's have been in it for 2.5yrs. They are a pair , I started out with 5 in June of 2009.They chose each other after only being in tank @2 months, and have had 5 batches of FRY. None made it though because my non knowledge of the pleco that was in with them.He was given to a friend @ 1.5 yrs. ago, and in that 1.5 yrs. they have not had anymore eggs. I say all that to ask if does anyone think they will mate again if I can raise the Ph. closer to 7.2-7.6 that is what it use to be way back when , or should I leave it be and just see what the future brings. I change 18-20 gallons every 2 weeks and have done so for 2 yrs. now .Before I go on is this the correct forum to be asking this? If not please inform which one to use. Thank You all for your time.
