Ok so... this is still my very early stages of preliminary thinking but.... I am contemplating breeding either my rubbernose pleco (of which I'm fairly certain I have a boy) or my giant danios. (I currently have 2 females and 3 males cause that's just how it worked out.)
Currently these are both residing in my 65G tank. I have a 20 gallon LONG tank that is currently housing my lone molly and my colony of feeder pond snails (for my assassins) that I am wondering if it would be suitable to this purpose.
From what I have read in other resources, most suggest a 40 or 40B as a size. But the difference between a 40B in length and a 20G Long in length is just about 6 inches and I'm wondering if that is truly that significant of a difference. So if any of you that have breeding experience would consider chiming in I'd appreciate it.
(Obviously if I decide to breed either, the set up for the 20 will change significantly) Marble bottom and short term accommodations for the danios or sand bottom and longer term habitation for the pleco. (Plus the whole tracking down a female RN)
