shovelnose catfish

I have two shovelnose catfish. One is about 18" long and the other one is about 14" long. The smaller one has stopped eating and is getting a white fungus on to of his head. Is there anything I can do to cure him?

What size tank do you have him in? I would move him to a hospital tank and treat with stress coat and aquarium salt.

Are they in a pond or a tank - Aquarium Pharmacueticals makes pond specific medications - most of the common aquarium fungus meds would require a couple of bottles to treat a pond.

Please tell us you have a huge tank for those very large fish. And outstanding filtration?

Kuli has it right, again! I would also recommend raising the temperature by a few degrees but ONLY if the other tankmates can also tolerate the increased temperature.
