:confused: female guppy bought 6 months ago is suddenly upside down with a noticible loss of control, swims in circles occaisainaly or up and down in the water, very strange.
in 55 gallon 20ish other guppies (their breeding in there)
3 glass cats
1 common pleco
4 gohst shrimp
no other fish has any symptoms and before everyone yells TB there are no visible deformities spine is straight fish is eating with others only upside down???:confused:

Sounds like a swim bladder disorder. The cause could be bacterial, viral or a gas embolism. What are your tank parameters? Temp. pH, gH, kH? Any ammonia or nitrite? Tough to suggest a cure without this data.
Whoops, saw you posted the params. pH is a bit high for guppies; 7.5, 150 ppm gH, kH, about 77 degrees would be more like it.
If the fish is eating well, a medicated food could be helpfull. Alternately, mash fresh garlic and mix it with food. Feed the fish that for five or six weeks. If the cause is parasitical, garlic will cure it.

well just to bring you all up to date my guppy died while i was at work today but as long as the illness wasnt contagious i still have a lot of guppies; even thouhg she was my favorite.
