Cave idea, will it work?

Ok i got this idea from barbnubee. Heres the plan:

Buy one of those mugs(white) that you paint yourself smash the handle so it looks like a cup. THEN, I add a bunch of fishing line around it and add guppy grass around it(only top half) and then put some more fishing line to make it stay there.

Could this work?

It probably would but why not get a Terra-cotta pot and do it.

Oh, thanks for the idea! I guess i could do the sameee thing with a standing up Terra-cotta pot.
