and let me tell you it was very hard to give them up(our Jack Dempsey's) but we did it last night. They were not happy in our tank at all, they hid in the cave all the time ever since we moved the Oscars out. I was glad about one thing though, we found out before we left that this guy that was there was very interested in both of them he just lost his piranha due to his "house sitter" I didn't ask anything beyond that because I assumed the person didn't do their job, anyway he is going to wait until the new cycle is finished then he's taking them home... he already paid for them too so Chris wont sell them. WoooHooo:19: they will stay together in a bigger tank and that is all I wanted for them. Right now we can not provide that for them so this was the best thing to do.

I ended up trading the two Jacks for 8 fish, some feeders, bird food, and a pig's ear for my dog...lol. I got 4 white clouds & 4 ? head & tail light tetra? We never seen these cuties before. Of course they were so hard to get a good pic of, so if the ones I took last night aren't good I can try again later after work.

So after doing that at the pet store last night Paulie and I took the water from the Hex(using a water pump that we have for the tanks) and put it into the 45gal W/ the stand & hood, then I moved all the plants and fish into that tank and they are in HEAVEN...Ol' Blue has been thriving all last night and this morning...I watched him for like 45mins last night he was just swimming back and forth and up and down...lol, he has ALWAYS been in the hex his whole life so I thought he'd hate it but he seems to be having the most fun. I have pictures that I got but need to up load them. I will add them in a little while if I have time before I have to be back at work.

Good deal, it is always best for the fish to be happy then have them un-happy or miserable. Glad to see you knew of that and could tell.

Thanks! Yea I have been keeping fish my whole life but on my own for a little more then 5yrs now. I didn't want to give them up because we had one of them almost a year but it was best for them. Now the Hex can take a break for a year, then we were thinking that maybe after our wedding we will try out a salt water setup. OK off to work BBL!

Ight, I have football until like 5:30 now and then dinner so I won't be on until like 8:30 tonight so don't be talking about me! By the way, saltwater isn't as hard as it sounds, I am a newbie and have 3 that are doing great, only lost 1 fish the whole time I have started it, that is less than my first freshwater setup!

I'm interested in salt setups as well, just sounds really hard and confusing.

Well here are a few pictures of the tank after I changed it all around. Then a picture of the "Head & Tail Light" Tetra? this is the best one I have of one of them so far. Is there another name for these guys?
