QUITE URGENT!!
Ok those of you who've read my previous threads will no the problems that I've been having and what my solution was (not that it was neccisarily neccisary but it ended up happening) I'm going to convert my 55gal tropical community tank into a mbuna aquarium and my tropical community tank fish are going into my new tank, its 13 and a bit gallons (50L here) and I've just finished setting it up, how much fish does that mean I can have and which ones do you think will or wont be able to live in my 13 gallon hexagon tank?
here's the list of fish I've got at the moment and if I have to then I will get rid of a few (as I know 13gallons is ever so slightly less than 55 lol
2 Kribs;
2 Gouramis;
2 leopard plecs;
1 siamese flying fox;
7 zebra danios;
7 serpae tetras;
3 white cloud mountain minnows
and 4 cherry barbs.
I've removed the serpae's already because they're fin nipping and are going to the LFS and also I have some killie fry which I would like to keep atleast on eof so I'll need room for him too :D

Most of the active fish would be kinda unhappy in the 13 gallon (mostly because of its shape - you could maybe keep them in the same volume if it was short and long rather instead of what you have. Fish like danios and barbs really like to zip around and there isn't really room for it in a hex tank.

What kind of gouramis do you have?

blue gouramis (or 3 spot) :( will probably have to get rid of them because they'd be 8 inches between them full grown.
How about if I kept the siamese flying fox, 1 of the plecs, the WCMM (and got a few more) and maybe some fancy guppies? (had them before but as you can imagine they didnt get along with the serpaes :( that sound alright?

I'd say get rid of the pleco's,gouramis, and the flying fox. Otherwise your list sounds good.

even though it's a hexagon tank? apparently (read up) the danios and barbs need more length to swim

The shape of your new tank will not necesarily harm your danios or barbs - they just wouldn't be easily able to behave the way that they most like to. That sort of thing can lead to more trouble than it sounds like (agression & stress related illness.) I would prefer to keep fish like that in something like a 20 gallon long tank (as a comparably sized/priced example).

I don't know enough about the kribs to reccommend anything one way or the other.

The plecos may be OK in the new tank (I don't think so I think the only bottom feeders you should keep in a mbuna tank are the synodontis- but a Mbuna expert may have better info)

Your best bet may be to return basically all the fish and choose some that would specifically happy in the tank. Or return the tank and go with a 20 gallon long.

Ok I will think about it think you're probably right about returning all of them and getting some especially for this tank guppys perhaps? and I don't think my plec's are quite big enough to deal with cichlids yet the biggest one is about 4/5 inches.
