View Full Version : Bamboo and wax
Today I got a piece of bamboo for my aquarium and their is what I think is wax on the end of the stick of bamboo. Is wax safe in aquariums?

I'd clean it off if it was wax - if you are not positive what it is I'd clean it twice:ezpi_wink1:

Just wash it off?
With hot water, Troy. No soap.

It doesn't fit in my tank. I had to put in my brothers tank that is right by the window. Well it was still a good deal, 1 10 inch bamboo stick for $.86.

.86 would still be a good deal if you had to lean it up against the side of the tank!

Couldn't you of just cut it in half or just cut what you didn't want?
If I did that I'd have to get grow a new root and I'm afraid it might rot in my tank without a root system and at the top is where the only growth is currently.
