I just wanted to make a post about holidays/vacations as it is the season.
I am going away for 2 weeks this saturday and thought that I would list the steps that I am taking to ensure my fishes health.
I have someone who keeps fish to feed them while I'm away but I don't want to ask him to change water incase anything goes wrong.
Here are my steps to ensure fish health, please feel free to add your own.
1. Regular water changes just before you go away. I did 50% and will do 25% every day until I go.
2. Ensure the tanks are clean and that there are no rotting plant/food lying around.
3. Clean filters to limit decompostion of waste whiel away.
4. Add tetra easybalance to keep the parameters under control while I'm away.
5. Ask person who is feeding to feed less than I usually do to keep waste food down to a minimum.
6. HAVE A GOOD HOLIDAY!
