The females tend to be larger and it's easy to tell when they are saddled or berried but otherwise, No clue.

Having said that you should be aware that as your TBs get larger the shrimp are VERY VERY likely to become snacks unless they have tons of cover, And even then their luck wont last forever.

What size tank is this?

30 gallon heavy plant cover

well I bought 5 albiano tiger barbs and 2 ghost shrimps . Heavy plant cover will help to lengthen the GS lifespan, No guarantee you will ever see them though.

Are the TBs juvies & Is this the only stock in the tank?

Well, I know you didn't ask about stocking but you may have some issues coming up.

TBs should really be kept in larger numbers to disperse their aggression & they are notorious fin nippers to long finned fish so they may find the gouramis long pelvic fins irresistible and this will lead nowhere good.

Serpaes can be nippy also IME, Especially in smaller numbers like you have.

I don't keep gouramis but I am not sure two blues will co-exist in a 30 long [Having lots of cover & line of sight breaks does help but ...?]

In the end I wouldn't be very surprised if your shrimp come up missing.
