I love this site since I found it. I have a 2.5 gallon aquarium with a feeder goldfish and two feeder minnows in the kitchen and a beta in a 2 gallon bowl in the bathroom (right now I'm into the simple fish). I've had freshwater aquariums but not for quite some years and have forgotten how relaxing and fun just watching fish can be.
My goldfish is almost two years old and is already gotten huge, not bad for a $1 feeder. Completely dwarfs the minnows but they all get along. The one minnow and the goldfish pal around. Amazing how all four fish have different personalities. Anyway, I will be checking this site for all the good advice and tips especially if I decide to get a regular full-on aquarium going again.

Peace.

it was called feeder goldfish at the lfs, but its not the actual name, its just a goldfish and goldfish get huge and are very messsy wich is why you need 20+ gallons for them.

Thanks for the greetings. The goldfish is a little over 2 inches long. I have been thinking about getting a bigger aquarium. Maybe I'll go out and get a 20 gallon today. I read about a goldfish that lived 43 years with the proper care. And I would like to see it reach it's max potential in size. I consider it a good friend. Thanks for advice.

...or put it in a pond, but then you have to go outside to look at it...
Welcome!
