Same rules as before, you find any deal so crappy you need to show other people.

Why don't we screenshot the ads so that we can have them in all their glory forever instead of this becoming a bunch of dead links. If its a screen shot it will always be in the thread - if its a link it dies when the CL ad is taken down

I would like the get the thread started to match someones "attire"

Today's winners include....

John that believes that adding gravel and a plastic plant will make your vase into a "complete Betta Mini Aquarium" in our area.

And in the "People just need to learn to throw some of this crap away" dept there is a fella selling a noticeably piece broken out of it under gravel filter plate for $10.

But the true gems belong to this fella and his 10 gallon bow front that is justifying his price based on his stock.... none of which should ever actually be housed in a 10 gallon. http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/for/2685771895.html

The price on this one makes me want to cry or laugh. Seems he had it set at $6500 (firm) and has now lowered it. LOL

I love it when people list the retail price of a new product when trying to sell their used stuff.

Its a good thing they don't allow comments on those... mine would be something like "Just because you were foolish enough to spend that much doesn't mean I am!"

Its a pity that I'm saving to buy the 48 Gallon with Pacu, with details written by wikipedia:
http://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/for/2731258944.html

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacu

(BTW wasn't there a fish to avoid as a beginners sticky that mentioned the true size of a pacu? I couldn't find it.... (and yes I did use the search 850:stongue: )

I don't really want the Pacu, I'm hoping if I ask nicely Aeon will take him to keep with his Oscar in his 10 gallon.

Someone needs to sticky that again or something!

Maybe Aeon will when he finally gets my Pacu by parcel post. I just addressed it as "Aeon from the AC; Trinidad" I'm sure it will get there in time.

2900 for a bulky plain acrylic aquarium that can hold 201 gallons (possibly less) buy wait theres more !!! a flimsy stand that doesnt look like it would hold me let along 2300 pounds of tank..... buy wait theres less !!!! no hood, no lights, no extras just the tank. 10 feet of regret right there XD.

how do you safely transport a 120"x18"x24" tank any ways?

I don't know if its just here but I swear there are a couple of aquariums that seem to crop up on cl every couple of months. They both are a bit of what I'd call a "Franken-tank"

The "Two Tanks joined with tubes":
http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/for/2729366638.html

And the "randomly attached tubes Tank":
http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/for/2729447856.html

I imagine the scenario goes a bit like this:

"Oh wow that's different! DO WANT!"

- Buys and sets up

"Hmm... ok so its not that much different to keep or look at than a normal tank. Except.... the tubes actually make it two smaller tanks rather than one big tank/Those end tubes don't really do much other than add bulk in one area which makes it harder to set up in the room."

- Lists on CL

If only I had seen this listing prior to Christmas... its the perfect gift for someone with everything:

apparently a 6+ inch gold fish is the ideal companion for a 10g tank, i mean just look how pristine that water is :hmm3grin2orange:

Oh good lord....

A FIVE gallon tank they are trying to claim cost them over $140 new they want $100 for.... http://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/for/2796528256.html

Meanwhile in the real world, you can easily google this thing and see that you could buy it NEW from multiple sources all around $50.

Um . . . Anywhere :hmm3grin2orange:

[# of bags] X [price]. They put enough of it in the tank that it totaled $200.

You're right! and I even suggested to red [he edited as I recall I didn't look] on page one that we post screen shots instead of links to prevent that and then I went ahead and posted a link.. :face palm: (blush)

Maybe the next one will be better.. Hopefully.

EDIT: Yeah it still says to post a screen shot. See how good we are at following instructions..(blush) Oops
