Guys, caught this shrimp this afternoon in a creek. But this is the only one that's like this of the many shrimps in that creek. What could this be? Is this a different kind of shrimp or is its green color just due to what looks like a wound on its side?

Ghost/glass shrimp that is green? Maybe a color variety to your area.. I bet your area is very algae/grassy river?

But of the hundreds of shrimps I caught from that creek, this is the only one I saw that is like this. It also has a wound on its right side seen in the picture.

Both shrimp are awesome looking. Nice find. I've never seen such green before. I hope the wound heals clean.

It almost looks like a caridina, maybe close to sp. gracilirostris judging by the rostrum but I dont think thats quite it... Id say go collecting some more, see if you can find any more that look like that.

Other thing I notice is that it doesnt look good, in the pics it looks like its milky white between the abdomen and the carapace... In person is it the same? Could be that thats making a slight green pigment look more brilliant than it would otherwise.

Wow that's an awesome looking shrimp! That is some unreal coloration, very nice find.

Maybe that's not a wound. Maybe some algae mistook him for a leaf
