23 Long
36 1/4 x 12 5/8 x 13
Where would a person find this sized tank? I've never seen these anywhere, have you? It's 6 inches longer than a 20 long and I want one!

Perhaps custom made?

I am afraid there arn't any. I looked on google, and couldn't find anything. You can custom order it, but that would take too long. Why not get the 20 inch? Does 3 inches really make a difference?

My dear. Size does matter!
It is the difference of 6 inches. That's a lot in the fish world. Room for a whole corner of plants, too. It's listed as a standard sized tank.

Sometimes it's just better to let Hobbs open mouth, insert foot and move on.

I've seen information on the 23 gal long, but haven't actually seen where you can get them.

It looks to be the same lenth as a standard 30 Gallon - it may be easier in the end to find that
I came up empty on google too :(

Glasscages has a "27" acrylic that is roughly the same dimensions

A 30 gallon is 30 inches. A 23 long is 36 inches.
I just want something that everyone doesn't have. LOL

Well then, you would love the tanks I picked up. 48x13x12:c5: I thought they were 40 gal, turns out they are 33, thick glass, corner drilled w/overflows,. I have 3 of them:c12:

I thought 29's were 30 inches and 30's were 36 (mine is anyways)

Robbie, you are right. I get so used to calling my 29 a 30 that I forget what I have sometimes. How did they come up with the odd number of 29 anyway? I mean, you have a 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and then 29? hummmmm
But hobbski is wrong and robbie is right.

I think it has to do with the width of the sheets of glass - like the machines are setup to make cuts at a certain size - moving them around would make the tanks more expensive.

Hobbs,
They make that odd size as standard, rectangular aquariums are design to fit inside each other to ease shipping for the manufacters. Tanks are a bit smaller inside than what the gallon rating says for that reason.
