Nah. The red tail is about the size of his oscar. As long as it can hide from their aggression that can show itself from time to time I think its safe.

So in my New 55 gallon tank i will have
one 7 inch pink oscar
one 4 inch red tiger oscar
one 9 inch albino oscar
one 7 inch green severum (i might buy more severums so the original stops being mean)
and one 7 inch red tailed black shark
I plan to add some more but have to choose the right ones first

Hmmm strange. Severums are usually much more timid fish than oscars. But I guess it just goes to show how big a difference cichlids shows from individuall to individuall.

this one is pretty timid it hides in the pipe like non stop maily coz it only has one eye i think but when sumthing tries to get in the pipe it will take it on even the 9 inch oscar
