Threadworms found in goldfish tank

Filarial Capillaria?/ little white threads I found swimming in the golldfish tank. I added aquarium salt (2gm per litre of water) and the worms disappeared, hiding I suppose somewhere in the filter. I saw the goldfish (small ones 5-6 cm) ate some of them.

Should I treat the threadworms like parasites or just let the goldfish eat them?

Sounds like you need a good gravel cleaning? Rinse it in dechlorinated water so as not to lose the bacteria but the salt will probably kill them for you.
