Megan is of the oppinion that samll tanks dont have a chance to win anything...
Here is an example that this aint true. I bet this really tiny setup could win a tank of the year award, or would be at least a runner up.
Its not mine, but from a fellow member in a German forum. This girl loves shrimps, and therefor she only has those tiny thingies.
But look for yourself.

WOW! I love it! But, i think its over planted. If she/he were to remove some of the plants it would be AMAZING!

Nice looking nano, that. She has a real nice touch with the Java fern and layout; not a blemish on the Java I can see. Cabomba's a bit weak on the right, but otherwise really nice little tank.

Nano tanks can look just as good as those 100g tanks. But generally it is a bit harder since you don't have as much room to work with (but isn't the challenge part of the fun?). For instance, if doing a planted tank, nano tanks don't really have much depth to them because they are so small, compared to say, a 40g breeder tank.

That's a great tank...perhaps I may give a shrimp tank a go, if I can find some good native shrimp!

If I could get just 1 end of my 120 to look half as good as that I would be happy.

About 6 months ago, when i didn't have plants in any of my tanks. I thought it was impossible to have a beautiful tank. I was wrong. Even if you dump the plants anywhere in the tank. It will look good. You would think plants, who needs them? Even fake plants work if they look natural. I'm not saying you can't have a good looking tank without plants, but its easier to go with a more natural look.

My 5 gallon won TOTM for June. It's not impossible for small tanks to win.
