temp. for tank

I just started a tank with two fantail fish.....I need to know what temp. the water should kept at. Any answer

If it is a guppy, which is a tropical fish, I would say anywhere between 75 and 80 degrees ferenheit *sp?*
If it is the goldfish, room temp is fine...

FYI: I keep my tropical tank at 79-80 degrees....

...and if it is goldfish we assume you understand that two of them would need a tank of at least 25-40 gallons but preferably more? Especially considering filtration?
