Todays the big day..

Well today im bringing back my cuddas, I only have a small summer job and im saving most of it, 5 bucks once a week is nothing, sure. But it is 20 bucks a month, 260 bucks a year! Also all of those fish they ate that they werent suppose to( my senegal bichir)amd of all those goldfish whose life was wasted? Plus I was going to move them into a 55g with the tinfoil barbs, but I rather just bring them back. I really loved them but i cant really have a big enough wallet for them.

As for the tinfoils: Those are some beatiful, very actif fish that i really love watching. But what about once their 10 inches long? They wont be swimming as much in my little 25g. But i might actually keep these 2 guys and put them in the 55g. REALLY unsure.


The new fish:

I am getting a pair of kribs, 1 female convict(will get a male once i have the 55g and give the 25g to the 2 convicts) I also may get 2 algea eaters(SAE).


About the *55g*

Well at first my dad didn't want to, but I convinced him that we could build the stand together and it would be really fun.( he loves woodworking) So ill have the stand cheap and the tank cheap..

My plans for this tank is to move everythign frmo the 25g that I will get except the convict, add another convict and breed them in the 25g. I will then fill the 55g with plants and other things.

My dad helped me with my stand too. It came out really good and I could probably hold about 4x's the weight it is now with my 29g on it.
We used 4x4's for legs alone.

The barbs could get to 10 inches and you might not be able to put anything with them to allow them more room. I've read kribs and keyholes can go with them but ??????. It might be iffy if they'd be a good mix.

Update:


I went to my lfs and decided to only trade in my 2 cuddas, in trade i got 3 live plants.
My tinfoils unfortunately died from the stress:scry:
Then I went to another lfs to find they are sold out on kribs AND convicts, theyll get them tomorow.
THEN i got a letter with the results of my summer school exams and im failing my school year.

My mom kinda made me feeel better by letting me buy a 33g to put in her house..That's probably the only good thing, that and i got 3 live plants....and a coconut for my kribs...So now my tank is empty but i have the plants so im going to put them in and do the coconut..

Ok so i out in the plants, and currently boiling the coconut. I was looking at my tank and saw something moving on the back of the tank. I THINK its a baby black mystery snail, or a snail that came with the plants, im going to research a bit more to be sure. I cant post a picture because of its size, its no bigger than a * on your keyboard.

Ill post pics of the plants and coconut soon enough tho!

Thanks! I did some research and im pretty sure i have me a baby mystery snail! I'm guessing that either theirs oonly one who hasn't goten eaten by the shrimps or snails. OR i just don't see the other ones.

Anyways, im probably going to ther pet shop to grab my pair of breeding kribs, with an extra black convict.( all 3 are babies, makes it funner to see them grow up and have babies). Wouldn't that be awesome if the convict has eggs with a krib? lol.
