Hi, I was wondering if dojo/weather loaches can be kept successfully in a outdoor pond. I live in Northern California. Thanks in advance! :)

They can... but they will climb out any chance they get.

Agreed,in some states that is why they are illegal.John G.Shedd aquarium has them in an invasive species exibit.Just make sure one of thoses states aren't yours.Just because pet stores sell them doesn't make it right.Plus it is "up to"a 5000 dollar fine first offence.

OK thanks. I probably won't get some for my pond I'm building then, as I live near a creek. Would not want to harm our local ecosystem by accidentally introducing them to it!!
