I'm trying to track down some bamboo to pot in a nice sunny room in my apartment. I'm looking for real bamboo, not "lucky bamboo". If anyone has any small/baby plants in their garden or potted that they would be willing to split off I would really appreciate it. I'd be willing to trade for aquatic plants or just purchase directly.
If anyone can help please drop me a reply or PM. Include a picture if possible, last time I tried to find bamboo I ended up receiving a totally different plant.
Thanks!

I'd send you some of mine but I doubt you'd be able to put it in an apartment. Right now it's about 3.5" around and 50' tall.
For a potted bamboo look for Buddha's Belly "Ventricosa"

Bamboo is not typically a house plant but there's some good deals on palms that would work better. Or get a fake bamboo.

Buddah's Belly will stay small enough for a pot. What people usually do is have two plants though. You keep one inside for a month or two and change it out for the other which you keep outside in a pot. It allows the plant to "recharge" itself and stay looking good. BB will stay small. I've got it growing outside but it really doesn't do much. I've got 3 other varieties also. 2 I can't rememebr the names of and the third is Oldhamii. The Oldhamii will grow to about 3-4" in diameter. Going to use it for indoor plumbing when I get enough of it. :)
