So I'm inspecting my tank today.. SO Proud of my plants- this lilly I got ages ago I thought was dead because my CAE ate it... but I left it in and now it has BOOMED in days! It's like 5 in tall now and getting bigger by at least an inch a day! Crazy! Anyway- so as I'm looking into tank... I see Eggs. Yeah, little white/cream balls -- 16 of them on the glass. NOT ON ANY PLANTS! Just right there almost to top of tank on front glass pane.
Now.. I'm thinking... who the heck laid the eggs? I have 1 Albino Cory Cat -- a small one (his partner was killed by CAE last week and no I have no idea what their sex was and CAE is no longer here.) And I have 5 Neon Tetras (lost one while trying to heal up poor cat fish that was beaten up by CAE) and some glofisih-- not able to breed right?

Ok... so my knowledge is that Neons scatter and I thought that Corys used plants. Is this something else? I feed freeze dried blood worms here and there. I see nothing else that could have caused or laid these but I'm sort of excited, however I realise that the chance of survival is small. I'm not going to try to move anything. At the rate of growth on lilly it may hit the water top any day and I have lots of stuff for babies to hide in. THough I am moving in a few weeks so not sure how that will go. ANyway... suggestions on what laid the eggs would be great.

Neons can be eliminated. Almost would have to be the cory but corys leave eggs on plant leaves so.........? Any snails in the tank?

Picture of cory eggs.

glofish can breed but they scatter as well. I agree with Hobbs, does sound like cory eggs, although obviously you've only got one. Are they together in sort of strings or clusters, or are they scattered about? Do you have anything else in there? Snails, etc?

No snails that I know of. They look like Hobbs pic but on the glass. Will try to get a pic later. And clustered.

+1 to above. Definitely Cory eggs. If you only have the one cory, they are not fertilized and will probably get eaten by someone. Yum.

Yeah only one left as of last night. But that's ok. So do they lay eggs without being around a male? Or is it just that her and peppered were spawning and he died before he could finish? He died about 3 days before eggs showed up due to injuries. She is an albino. Just so I know for later. After I move I'll get some more cats I just didn't want to buy before moving ya know.

LOL on the braille
