It says it can clean up to 150 gallon, and i have 2 of them which equals to 300 gallons and my tank is only 100 gallons. But, i've seen people using a lot bigger filters for a 100 gallon tank. This is the only thing i can fit in the cabinet.

hmm.....It seems okay as the rule of thumb is at least 3 times the number of gallons as the gph outflow, and you do have two. It really all depends on wat fish your keepng,

When i bought my tank, they said that 1 would be more then enough, but i got 2 just incase. There will be neon tetra's and discus inside, i know that discus dont make a mess, but they require clean water.

Sounds good to me, but remove that charcoal. Only use it in cases you need to get rid of nasty chemical stuff or just nasty stuff. And when using it, not longer than a week.

6-8 Discus depending on what i find.

Neons or cardinals? Cardinals are a much better choice with discus (and look better too). No cories, rams, or bristlenose plecos?

That will be good. Whatever a filter claims it can handle, cut that in half. So you really have about 150 gallons of filtration, which is good for what you are doing.

Do not use carbon. It can cause HITH/HLLE in discus and many other cichlids. It removes the trace elements and micronutrients which can contribute to these conditions.

I'm curious why you said no bristlenose. I read on the discus site that bristlenose is one of the few catfish that can be used with Discus. Just wanting some clarificiation.

I was asking if he was not planning on them, not saying he shouldn't. I think they will help make a more diverse tank.
