I checked every aquarium store in town (5 in total) and none of them have Java Moss. Not only is it out of stock, but they can't even order it in apparently. Three places told me that they put in orders for it 4 times in a row and their suppliers just don't have it.
I was expecting this stuff to be common. Especially at the small family-owned stores.
What surprises me however is that petco of all places (quickly turning out to be the best freshwater aquarium store in my area) actually sells moss carpet already in plastic netting, but the few that they have look unhealthy and really sparse... also I can't tell what type of moss it actually is.
Is this stuff seasonal? Where can I buy it online without spending a ton of money on shipping?
