Hello there! i'm john from Philippines..
I'm new to this site but have been keeping oscars for a long time. My first oscar was when I was highschool. I had him for almost two years but unfortunately my tank got broken so I had to put him in the pail for a couple of days with only aeration but he didn't make it and died. I shifted to flowerhorns but then again, there's a rotational brownout here in our country that time due to power shortage and all my flowerhorns died.
Last January, I visited my friend who owns a local fish store. I saw three lovely oscars then I remembered my first oscar and think if I could get a new one since I have lots of empty tanks. And so I bought one, because I know keeping oscars requires huge space and my largest tank in here is only a 55gal.
Here's my buddy..

yeah theres a 15 min limit on editing posts mods can only edit after that, but its fine. next time i would just give the raw link. that way people dont think you are trying to pull on over on them.
if you keep an eye out youll see some examples :P gotta be faster than the mods tho lol.
but im still stunned by the color on that oscar XD. are you sure its a tiger and not another type? i wouldnt hate a pair of oscars like that :P

It's interesting how he lost his spots and came into that beautiful red, love it! You must take very good care of him! Wouldn't find him a mate though unless you get a bigger tank.

Yeah! I have noticed through these months that his markings are slowly changing. Yes I am giving him the best that i can give! Yes maybe if I already have 100gals then I would find a mate for him.
Thank you for appreciating anyway! :ssmile:

Nice looking fish. I have always liked oscars, I just don't have big enough tanks for them.
