View Full Version : I Hate Walmart!!!!!

I just went to walmart to pick up some melafix for my tetras when I noticed a display with some 10 gallons and a bunch of cups around the outside of the tanks. I expected to see a bunch of bettas in the bowls, but to my suprise I saw something different. They were ANGELS!!!!! In little bowls!!!!! How wrong is that?!!? I took pics with my cellphone, i'll post this now and go get my cell to send myself the pics. I'll post them up in about 5 minutes. I am so sick to my stomach the way these fish are kept :(

Oh my god!!! Poor angels, and angels get really BIG! and they arn't hardy fish. They need some space to swim. I want to see the pictures!

I imagine they were being sold for $10, thats what the sign said. B/c I cannot imagine the 10 gal tanks being sold for $10.

Isn't $10 a tad expensive for angels anyway? Let alone unhappy ones in a betta cup! Grr....

No offense to anyone that works at walmart, but 99% of people who work at walmart are incompetent fools. I went to change my brothers oil yesterday, and when he had walmart change his oil the last time, they used a cheater wrench to tighten the pan plug, and it crossed the threads.

that is pretty bad but i always like mentioning my 2 stories...
I have a friend that has had an angel for a year in a 10 gallon tank with 4 blackskirt tetras a clown loach and 1 red eye tetra......
second story is I know this other kid that has 2 goldfish in a 3 gallon bowl that have been alive for about 10 years.....
just something to think about

Wow I am so glad that ALL the stores around here are NOT Allowed to sell pets...I'd be sending out letters to the Corporate Office in Texas on a regular basis..Go to the website and send a complaint to them about the specific store you saw this at...That is just not right at all and if it were me I'd be a pain in their but until they stopped doing such idiotic things!!! Good Luck!

I did email their main place in TX, also send a request for it to be sent to that specific walmart itself. Tomorrow I will be finding the address or phone contact for the main manager over there. I was so mad.
