i have a 125 gallon tank i am setting up for a freshwater stingray. i build a wet/dry sump and i was woundering if i could divert some of the water from the sump through my reverse osmosis filter and then right back into the tank. to reduce the number of water changes.

Doubt you'd have enough pressure. Do the water changes.

I'm sure you can if you have an appropriately sized pump

You certainly could do that. You might have to add a pump in order to get the minimum pressure required for the RO unit.

I would also think your membrain would clog up pretty fast doing that, and those things are very $$$.

It might be a lot cheaper to stick with the waterchanges
