Hah nice...I will toss any bugs I come across into my tanks. Usually takes blood parrots quite a few tries to catch them, no where near as quick as your jag.

Must be the wings were a bit dry! LOL

He is looking good!

Fish needed some ketchup for those dry moth wings.

XD I had a tiny moth, about a centimeter across the wings, teasing my female bettas for a week... It would flutter around the tank and get them to chase it, or land on the front panel and they'd smack into the tank wall trying to charge the moth. Those were some frustrated fishies. Finally I caught the little bugger and tossed him in with them. XD Piranha have nothing on teased female bettas

Lol, he always spits the wings out. I think moths are his favorite though. There were a lot this summer but after the cold snap there haven't been many for me to catch. He always gets excited when I come in the front door at night, hoping I have a moth for him. If I'm too slow he'll actually jump up to snatch the moth from my fingers (or bite my fingers).

He looks good, must be something to be said for bugs for dinner.

Did you really think this would be a competition? :hmm3grin2orange:

Thanks guys! I do love him, he's the smartest fish I've ever kept. Rich, I have no plans to incorporate bugs into my diet, though my fish all love them. I've been feeding gut loaded small crickets and meal worms as well.

Is that the Jag you got a few months back that was so beat up and forlorn looking? (I think that was a Jag.) He's looking pretty handsome now.

Is he alone in the tank?

Yep, exact same fish. It's amazing what clean water and good food will do for a fish. He's got a mean, old male BN in the tank with him. They actually have an understanding and the BN hasn't gotten beaten up, save for the occasional split fin. The BN also has places he can hide that Jag can't get to. The BN is such a jerk he was trying to beat up my vampire plec who was almost 3x the BNs size...he is well suited to living with a jag.
