What do you guys thing of the ammonia removeing/neutralizing tablets that dissolve......would a water change be better than using one of these in my 30 gal??

The reason why I ask is b/c using a tablet is easier than doing a water change when the ammonia is only a little high. Right now my ammonia level is between 0 and 0.25 PPM. Is this too high???....my tank is one month old.

Water changes don't only get rid of ammonia but they also bring down the nitrates and reset anything else in the water.
Was your tank fully cycled when you added fish?
.25 ammonia isn't too too high but I would just stick with a weekly water change. Those tablets might kill your ammonia eating bacteria because they dissolve their food. I don't know if they dissolve all the ammonia or what but it still probably wouldn't be preferred by most people here.

I agree with zackish. If you are still cycling, you need that ammonia to complete your cycle. You just don't want it so high that it kills your fish.

Alright sound good, thanks. I will just continue with my weekly water changes.
