Just had my first experience with a snail feasting on the corpse of a fish. At first thought the two snails were mating, but upon watching for a bit noticed a fish tail protruding from their combined feet. These two diffusa had stripped off all the flesh from this platy in course of few hours. Apparently a platy passed away overnight and these two came across her corpse. By the time I arrived on scene, fish was only bones and cartilage. Even a Ramshorn got in on the action and I think laid eggs in the fish's mouth... When I removed fish, it had what looked like bubbles clung to it's mouth and so did a plant near by... removed those bubbles/eggs with fish and disposed of.
Hope it was only opportunity and not some pent up revenge for these platy nipping at their antenna and feet.
