Has anyone ever kept a Dragon Fish before?
Once I saw this oddball at the pet store I just couldn't resist.
It's a really unique fish. From the research I've done I've learned that despite their ferocious appearance they are really peaceful fish. But it also says that since they're eyes are so small they have trouble seeing food so always check to make sure your Dragon is getting enough to eat.

I feed mine shrimp you buy at the store and pieces of silver sides. Mine is about 7-8" long. He is the most peaceful fish I have besides my Cory cats. Depending on size of the fish is the amount and size of food you give him.

You mean like live ghost shrimp?

Mine eats flake - freeze dried blood worms - shrimp pellets - pretty much anything as far as prepared foods. But he mostly just likes to suck slime off of my gravel.

They don't seem to go for even the smallest live things - i've seen the in tanks with fry. Don't let the little eyes fool you they can find food faster than just about anything else in my tank.

I feed mine like the shrimp you buy to eat and ghost shrimp even though I don't think he eats ghost shrimp, mostly feeds my angels and cichlid.

Yes. They prefer a little salt in the aquarium if I am not mistaken, they are really brackish I believe.
