Wow! I can really see the improvement when you post the pics together like that. They really are great shots, and Im sure they'll only improve from here out.

Makes my S700 look like an etch-e-sketch. :hmm3grin2orange:

Picture 2 looks better but I'd also say that it seems to be better at white balance too.

I always thought the first pic was awesome...but wowee

My main complaint with the D60 was its wonky white balance, I never managed to find settings for it to capture the fish naturally. Those were taken in full auto with standard flash. I can't wait to see the results when I actually learn how to use this thing :hmm3grin2orange:

You'll have to post some pics when you get your new camera in Aeon.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone, I do try to keep the fish looking as they should.

Will do Jenn! Lets see how the Pentax fares.

If its half as good as those, I'll be satisfied.

I wish my camera could take photos half as good as that, let alone my chili bone skills. Lol. Very Beautiful photos!!!:22:

Thanks! It is a dream to shoot...tons more bells and whistles. The most impressive thing is how quick it is.

Beautiful shots and fish! One of the most handsome Oscars I have seen.

Totally agree on the D7000, iv been wanting to upgrade to one from my D200 for awhile. Shots from the old CCD cams like the D60 or 200 require ALLOT more post work to get the results. It can be done though, a little photoshop time can save $$$ in the end lol

D@mn I just blew 1200bucks for nothing :hmm3grin2orange:

Thanks that edited photo does look much better, and I will say if you are looking for an upgrade the D7000 is a good one to look at. Many reviews I have read/watched have stated it has higher image quality than the D3 and has many of the same features as the more expensive "pro" cameras.
