Unfortunetly I don't have any anymore because I am 18 years old now but how crazy would it be to have a lego thing setup in your tank.
I was into legos a lot when I was a much younger kid and I remember I used to set up towns or like space shuttle launches. How crazy would it be to set up something like that in a tank and then put fish in there.

that'd be crazy.
i don't think that the fish/inverts would be used to swimming around legos though- maybe transformers lol

My son was asking me for his own tank (he is almost 5 now) and told me he wanted to put action figures in it. I thought that would be pretty cool. I would go buy some new figures and then some sand for substrate maybe and make a little war scene or something. Could be cool. The lego thing could be cool though!
LOL, I still have my old legos at my moms house and Im 26 :D

I used to have all the starwars legos and then I gave them to my cousin and he lost them. I guess that is how it goes.:22:

I'd be careful of anything thats painted - and if you were to use lego's get new ones. My wife used about 10 gallons of disinfectant a week on ours. Even trace amounts of stuff like that can be harmful to fish.
It could look OK though

Water could get stuck in between the legos and become stagnant. I wouldnt try it, becasue thats not my taste. If you like it, you could give it a shot.

You could seal it with hot glue or silicone.

Thats a good idea!!! Maybe seal it to the back with silicone and coat it completely! That would be cool and put a good use to all them dang legos!! You could even paint them and make it 3D!

Not really. The fake rock background I have drives me nuts.

I was all set to try that - but the 55 Gallon I got is only 12" deep - my fish would have had to jump out of the water to turn around!

Could look cool, depends on how you do it I guess. But if its your style and want to try it out, can't hurt!! :)

I am really considering doing it with my 5gallon hex on the back 3 sides, with the one snap thickness and using some of the 6 snap 2X sticking out to give it a texture and different look.

Huh a Lego backround....interesting idea.
I bet mine would like the bridge of the new Galactica or the Enterprise...hah a SciFi tank, that would be it:19: :19:
Hmmm one would only need to paint and varnish the stuff in a decent way, so no chemicals could leak out, hmmmm and all in anthracite or silvery grey and black...
