One day is not long enough to fully cycle a new tank. When you say you cycled the tank do you mean you let it run for a day before adding the fish?
Do you have a water test kit? Most likely you tank is cycling now with the fish in it. You'll need to do large water changes to keep ammonia and nitrites down to save your fish. They still may not survive. You may want to read through the stickie on cycling posted at the top of this forum if you are unfamiliar with the nitrogen cycle.
Sorry for you losses.

Common mistake many new aquarium owners make. You need to cycle your tank which is growing the beneficial bacteria that eat ammonia and nitrite. Your fish will more than likely almost all die. If you get a new tank, I would wait until you get that one cycled and use filter media from it to quickly cycle the new tank.
