After about 4 years of fighting pond snails in my tank.....hundreds of them....I got thinking today I hadn't seen any for awhile. I got looking around and couldn't find even one! I have 3 assassins in the tank but can't believe they could have taken care of that many snails! I was pulling the driftwood out of the tank daily for weeks and running hot water over it to kill all those hiding there, baiting them with cucumbers, smashing every one I could find, pulling plants out and soaking them in alum and finally I have beaten the battle!
If any are left, the assassins can have them. Nasty varmits! I'm so happy to be done with them.
