Im wondering does this only happen to me and what causes this to happen ? I have anubias in my tank half attached to driftwood and the other half floating and they are starting to grow like brown fungusy stuff under the leafs. I do water changes regularly i dont add no ferts to the tank so why is this happening and what is it ? how do i prevent this and everything ? its also happening on my driftwood. is this normal or is it preventable ? thnx.

Now i know since anubias are very slow growers that the brown stuff on them is algae do i just wipe that off every now and then ?

Your plants look very healthy to me. Simply wipe the algae off.

I agree they look good, that looks more like gunk than anything else.

Maybe some amano shrimp. They keep my wood and anubias nice and clean.

will they be ok with cichlids in the tank ? a convict parrot and firemouth ? right now rainbows are in there and i was told they like to eat shrimp.
