We are looking at a lot of fish to stock our 135 gallon tank. We have tossed around the idea of a Black Ghost Knife and a few others, but have not settled on anything. There is only 1 fish that we have for sure decided will be moving into the tank and that is our common pleco....
Does anyone keep or have info on Cichlasoma bocourti? I can't seem to find a whole lot which makes me think they are not a very common fish or they are hard to keep.

We aren't in any hurry on fish. Our tank is just now set up and I still need to get the filter media for the Fluval before we start our cycle.

They're not common but they're not rare either. From what I've read (never kept one myself) they're pretty aggressive.

I have a pair and they are quite peaceful. as a matter of fact they were picked on by a synspilum and bifa for a bit then that stopped as suddenly as it began. they love veggies and romaine lettuce is what mine really go nuts over. i also feed them market shrimp krill and new life spectrum and massivore. these fish are gonna get about 8" and you will love their colors. i house mine in a 180g and i hoping they will breed in the upcoming months. i only know of a few guys that have them. hopefully this fish will gain a following in the hobby. good luck thumbs2:

He is pretty but from the link above, it states gets along with his own species. Does this mean ugly to everything else? :)
