I am kind of disappointed with the local selection of fish and was wondering if anyone here buy or have bought fish from online? If so how was your experience with it? I was looking on Drs. Foster & Smiths LiveAquaria.com. It seems as though Drs. Foster & Smith offer very good quality for their products and was thinking maybe they have and sell good quality fish as well. Any opinions are welcome :) Thanks

I think the only problem with Liveaquaria is that you need to buy a minimum amount of stock. I've heard great things about bigalsonline.com tho.

Megan, anywhere you buy fish online, you will pay shipping from $25-40 dollars. It costs them as much to ship out one fish as it does 20 so make it worth your while if you intend to buy online.

There are several sites that have them but I don't believe BigAls carry live fish at all or plants for that matter.

[Only Registered Users Can See Links.] is the one place that tries to give you what you ask for by doing a special request on the bottom of your order. None of them search for males, females, etc but this place claims they try to fill what you want.

Thank you! :) My husband has a friend whos wife works at petsmart, I might ask her about the type of fish I want and see if and when they get their stock in. Maybe I can get a better selection that way :) lol

I have gotten endlers live bearers and Cherry red shrimp through the planted tank swap and shop.

Both arrived without any major problems. I did have one DOA in the livebearer order but there were 4 extras thrown in so it was not to bad. The Shipping was priority and it only cost 5 bucks.

You can also check out aqua bid for fish, inverts and plants.
