Just a headz up. Sometime after I test my water I just let the solution stay in my tubes and wash them out later because I am too lazy to go up stairs. Well sometimes I don't test until a week later and now I have a yellow stain to my ammonia testing tube becuase I let it sit there for a week.
So I was just letting you all know, wash your tubes when your done!

Yeah, some of the chemical in test kits can stain, so it's always a good idea to clean out the tubes as soon as possible.
I usually rinse them out 4-5 times under running tap water. I then store them upside down so the water drains out and dust doesn't get into the tubes.
We have fairly hard water and you can see the salt stains on the outside of the tubes, but stored like this, the insides are clean and won't thrown off your tests (especially pH and hardness test).
If you're really paranoid, you can rinse 1-2 times with distilled or RO water, but it's usually not required.
