does anyone have any tips for me about my new snail

i just brought a new snail im not sure what type it is but its yellow and it wasnt very expensive is there any special foods or requirments it needs??? Thanks

Apple Snail perhaps. Look it up on the net and see if that's what you have.

Most likely a Diffusa Apple Snail. I have a link in my signature line to an article I have. There's diagrams there. Also Applesnail.net is a good resource.

Sounds like an apple, yea. It will eat algae very good, so you can feed it algae wafers to supplement, but if your tank has a good supply of algae, you rarely have to feed it. If it ever goes missing though, check filter. Its a dangerous yet enticing place for a snail, and trust me, theres always a way in.
