A work in progress:

Some live plants, some plastic. All of the fish are blurry (though you can see one of my Otos clinging to a part of the piece of wood), as well as the entire picture, lol, but you get the idea. Up next is CO2 injection, higher wattage lights, and either Flourite or Eco-Complete. Would love to get my hands on some Takashi Amano substrate.

If you can only choose Eco or flourite, do eco. WAY less mess, and you dont have to rinse it.

I think i see that oto too!

That's good advice, I'll keep that in mind!

And just a few more for fun:

What's happening here is I feed my cory's tiny sinking pellets, and the rasboras will swim over the cory's because the cory's will stir up the pellets above them and the rasboras will get whatever they don't eat.

The branch looks neat. I'm about to use some branches in my 10 gallon too. Mine come from the woods so I had to sand them. Fun trying to sand a pencil sized branch without breaking it. :)

Nice pics - O'd go with the Eco Complete too - looks like it got slimed by something but doesn't make any mess at all

Thanks for the comments, all! The cory's really blend in in these photos pretty good because the flash is causing the rocks to mirror, as well as the fish's skin, but they do stand out really well even with the black rocks.

I can't wait to get more plants in this thing.

LOL, I hear that! I broke one of the branches off of this one! It was supposed to have one coming down on the right side of the tank, but it snapped. It was already a little cracked when I found it. I might tie it up to the end of the branch anyways at the top where you can't see it, and have it come down on that side where it is a bit empty. Kind of hard to explain, but I'll try it later and post some pics.

Very nice, should look good once you get it to where you want it. I love the Rasboras, I need to get me some too.
What kind of wood are you using? You just get yerself a tree and sand it? is it Mansanita or something?

To be honest, I have no idea what kind of branch it is, lol. I soaked it in a tub, then went over it it with a really coarse brush, then went over it again with a washcloth, then let it soak, and then sit under the running shower. Then I dried it off with a towel and soaked it again and let it air dry. Then I dropped it in. I was going to boil it, but there was no way I could fit it into a pot, and plus my wife would have killed me if I boiled a stick in her pots, lol.

P.S. thanks for the compliments too. :) I meant to type that beforehand, woops.
