about oscars doing 'tricks' and have had mine about 10 months. Their names are Peter, Paul and Mary (not sure about the sex of them though). When I go to feed them, Mary will jump out of the water and take the food from my hand. I was just so excited that I had to tell you. Does anyone else have any fish that do interesting things

I don't have an Oscar but wanted to tell you that I bet that really is neat. Those fish are really something, aren't they?

I have seen goldfish that pull a string that rings a bell when they want food, oscars will play with a ping pong ball, goldfish will go through hoops, (goldfish seem to be the best at learning tricks).

There was an article in Aquarium fish not to long ago that interviewed this guy who trained oscars to swm through hoops and hold a ping pong ball in their mouth and throw it into a hoop.

Way too cool. Okay, that's it. I have to get that 180 for the oscars.

I am tempted to go get a 75 gallon for an oscar or two. Man that would be cool. thumbs2:

My fire eel eats out of my hand - he likes to head butt my fingers till I face the tasty parts the way he wants

My red earred slider turtle eats out of my hand too.
I also think my gouramis recognize me when I walk up to the tank, or they at least like people. They are braver than my cardinals. If you are by my tank as soon as you move my cardinals will swim to the back and hide.
