I ran two filters on my 55 gallon to seed one of them for another tank. I did not notice anything bad happening in the 55 gallon, parameters stayed great before and after removing the filter. I think I ran both for 4 or 5 weeks
The filter that went to the other tank really spead up the cycle too.

no i talking about using the new filter in a tank thats already fully stocked, when the 55 is ready, im gona use the new filter to cycle the 55. so i want some bb in the filter before i start the 55 cycling.
and im worried about the bb in the other filters dieing. in my established tank

You should be fine. When I set up my 120g, I swished the media from my other tanks filters in the water of the 120g and fed the tank ammonia from a bottle. My tank was cycled in less than a week. Just something else to consider.

Yes, I understood that. You want to seed filter for a new tank on another tank that is established and cycled. That's what I did.
In my example, my 55 gallon was cycled for a while (maybe a year) and fully stocked with fish. I added a new (second) filter to it, ran it on that tank while keeping the exisiting filter on there. Then after 4 or 5 weeks of the second filter being seeded, I moved the new filter to the new tank.
I tested the 55 gallon (established tank) daily for about week or a little more, and found no bad effects. Water paramaters in my 55 gallon tank stayed the same
