View Full Version : This whole month stunk!

Honestly, since the 3rd of this month everything has gone downhill.
On the 4th I had a flat on my car. It sat there for 9 days waiting for someone with a compressor to blow the thing up. (It doesn't help not knowing anyone.)
The day my tire is blown up, I jump in to start my car and it has a dead battery! Seven more days waiting for someone with jumper cables.
My server was messed up and I couldn't email for over a week.
The forum had it's problems with a few Trolls.
And last night I am watching TV and off goes my DISH network due to non-payment. I have had this DISH hooked up for only 6 weeks. I paid the installation of $52, sent in one payment of $53 and now they tell me I owe them $135. How can you owe that much money on something you've used for 6 weeks with already one payment made?
I am now reduced to watching two channels. One is a Chinese channel and the other the Angel Network. By next month I will either be speaking Chinese or be a religious fanatic.

DISH is about $35 a month. How they come up with that figure I have no idea but try to talk with customer support you might as well be talking to your fish.

Just think Hobbs, if only you had that car that was in your joke yesterday.
You could have said, George Bush, in no time your tyre would have been full of hot air, and the whole month may have been different:wink2:

Sending these jerks $135 ticks me off royally. It means one more month without that fish tank. sigh

It sucks that you are having a bad month. those installation charges are a pain.
But remember in the immortal words of Annie "the sun will come out tomorrow" I would sing it to you, but then you would be more depressed than you already are.

I was on the phone again with them just now. The reason the bill is so high instead of them charging me the $29.95 a month for one year (what I signed up for) they charged the full amount of $43 but will give a credit "later." They also charged me for 2 months of HBO that I have had for 10 days that was supposed to be free for 3 months and that will also be a credit "later." And of course your first bill is for 2 months so everything is doubled.
I told them instead of stuffing my damned bill so high and then me having to beg for the reductions, why didn't they just charge me what they were supposed to charge me to began with and then I could have paid the bill to start with.
I hate companies having the monopoly and you have no other choice.

That really sucks Hobbs.....I do not understand how they can get away with that....hope you gave them an earfull!! Now you're going to have to make sure you get that "credit" they promised you....what a pain!
Sorry about your car too. Ever thought about getting AAA?? For around $48 a year they will send someone to your house or wherever you are and fill that tire, or change it, give you a jump, a tow, etc....
Because of the hours I work I insist on having their coverage. That way if the car breaks down on the way home they'll come right out and tow me and the car home!! :ezpi_wink1: I sure don't want to be stuck on the road at 3am!

Turns out I still had AA but guess what? It was FL AA. Another thing that rocked my world this month. LOL

Would they switch that for you? If you've already paid for it I don't see why they couldn't.

Nope. When I moved to FL I had MI AAA. Thinking "AAA is AAA" I paid my premiums for over a year until the day I bought another car and discovered I had no insurance at all. They had no problem taking the money, tho. LOL
But, I guess when you come down to it, MI AAA had no way of knowing if I was just there visiting or if I had changed residency so that was my fault for not calling and telling them.
I was thinking AAA was just like any other insurance. I didn't realize it would be different state to state.

Wow Hobbs, That's a real bummer. I am sorry things have been crappy for ya, you are such a great person and don't deserve that!! I hope ya get it all fixed soon.
BTW where I live AAA is not auto insurance it is a company that will assist you with things that may go wrong with your car or even the car you are riding in as a passenger. Like a flat, out of gas, a jump, tow... things like that, as long as you are a member and have your card they will come right out to you no matter where you are. I am almost 100% certain they are nation wide too. Check it out here is the link to their site [Only Registered Users Can See Links.] I hope they can help you, no one should ever be out on the road alone and stranded. Good Luck Sweetie.
