Hey everybody,

Just got a new candy cane coral, three heads and one is splitting now...

My question is where everybody puts these guys? Right now theyre about three quarters of the way up my 55 gal with 4 T5HO bulbs that have individual reflectors

Anybody any advice on where to put them?

I've got our candy cane's and trumpets a few inches off the bottom in light flow, shaded by some tall acros, but I also have 2x250 watt metal halide. We also have candy canes in our led lit 10 gallon a few inches above the bottom in light flow as well

Ok gotcha... is there anything bad that could happen by having them up too high? Or just more light which would equal slower or faster growth?

umm, over a year...it was one of my first corals, and it put up with weeks of poor conditions, in the beginning.

Too much light can sometime cause them not to expand as much. Greater amounts of light can also cause this coral to color up differently.
