Hi

I have attached a picture to this post, i have green texas cichlid that lives with an oscar, a gourami and a giant plec(l022) and it has a unusual lump on is gill/face at first i thought it was a small nick or cut but it kept on growing, it seems to have stopped growing but is just not going away I am concerned that it is a tumour or can anybody identify what it is and give me an idea of how to deal with it, the cichlid is relatively young and is only 2.5 inches or so in length. The aquarium that the fish live in has got a lump of bogwood with christmas tree moss on, a couple of cabomba, amazon blades (or swords i always forget) and some fountain plants for them to munch on, i feed the fish on a mixture of Hikari cichlid staple pelets, king british tropical flakes, tetra placo multi wafers, in the morning, and either blood worm and brine shrimp mixer or fresh prawns in the evening. The water condition although could probably be better i would say is fair and i do a quarter water change 1 per week.

if anybody need anymore info or pics let me know

many thanks

closer image of lump, oh and the fish seems to have stopped growing, the gourami that lives in the same tank was smaller than it now the gourami is bigger and the oscar i got the same time as her is a good 4-4.5 inches long but they were the same size when we got them. :)
