Shop Menu

Wow I'm beginning to feel like a n00b again. what is this shop we have. I noticed on my profile i had 700 odd points and saw i could bank these. then saw theres a shop menu. How does all of this stuff work? I tried to search the forums for more information on this but couldnt find much.

Does it hold any significance? Where do i get these points from?

points don't amount to anything in the grand scheme of things, but you can use them to buy gifts and change the color of your title and what not.


You earn points by posting. You get 5 points for every reply and 20 points for every new thread you start. Plus you get points based on how many words you type.

So its all really just a sort of fun thing for forum users? and this is how i can give (say yourself for this example) on of those little picture things to the right of where you name is when you post?
Because I saw that you can also thieve from other users, and was thinking thats a little rash isnt it......

yep it is just a fun little addition.

Of course I keep telling the mods that they need to lower the lottery payout and the lottery ticket cost so more new users could play, but you will just have to earn your points the hard way. :)

Adding an avatar is free. You hit the "user cp" button and then in the menu find the avatar button, and from there, you can upload a button.

Thats cool then isnt it. And thanks for deleting that second post i made saying the same thing. I hit the button twice because my browser was playing up.

And as for the avitar ive already figured that I can upload one i just dont have an image (at least i dont think i do) thats small enough.

I know where that is. have checked already and have gone forth to make my first purchase in the form of a gift for you :P

It was only the shop thing i was curious about, all other aspects of the forum i had already figured out. But i will definatly enquire about new things popping up if ever there is something else.

I love the shop feature. No other forum has it I don't think. As HH mentioned above, you get points as you go along. When you get enough points you can buy the color to add to your user name, you can underline it, make it glow do lots of things.

You can give gifts to others, buy gifts for yourself, buy ribbons for yourself and others and play in the arcade. You can also play the lottery. That's where I have gotten tons of points.

The longer you're here, the more fun it is.
